We need to live according to the Spirit, not according to the flesh (Galatians 5:16-17). Jesus set people free from the activity of demons (Luke 6:17-19). We give the enemy access in our lives by believing lies, by wrong behaviour, by bad habits, by unconfessed sin – actions that give Satan room to control us. We need to keep short accounts with God, and keep our lives right, and take back the ground the enemy has stolen from us.
